Appointments are pre-booked except for emergency you will have to call on the day. For a morning emergency, you have to call between 8:30 am to 10.30 am and for afternoon emergency between 16.00pm to 17.00pm, subject to availability.
The receptionists will ask you to briefly state the reason for your appointment in order to signpost you to appropriate service which meets your need, please do not take offence.
ONLINE APPOINTMENT
For online appointment booking please request for login details at reception.
The practice has started providing Online services and to access the services, you will need to come into reception at the Green Man Medical Centre where you will be given your own private login and password information.
Telephone Appointment.
You do not always need to book a face to face appointment with a doctor. Some issues are more easily sorted out over the phone and doctors urge you to consider booking a telephone appointment for issues such as;
– Blood test result / ultrasound / X-ray Results – Medication Reviews/Queries
– Admin queries (letters / Forms) – Minor ailments
– Sick notes continuation ( Only If GP has previously seen you with regards to the sickness).
Emergency Appointment.
For an emergency appointment please contact the surgery on the day, for a morning emergency you are required to call between 8:30 am to 10.30 am and for afternoon emergency between 16.00pm to 17.00pm, subject to availability.
Please note that you may have to wait up to one hour to be seen although we try our best not to keep you waiting.
Saturday Routine Appointment.
Saturday appointments are for those who cannot access the service during the week, this service is provided by Waltham Forest GP Network Federation, It is appointment based only
Practice Nurses
In a number of cases, it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please ring us on 020 8989 2606/2936 to inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
